Metropolitan Community College Articulation Agreement

Clarkson College is dedicated to helping students make the most of their previous educational experiences. The articulation agreement with Metropolitan Community College (MCC) is a tool for prospective students and academic advisors to use when reviewing the transferability of courses to Clarkson College. Accepting transfer credit from Clarkson College is at the discretion of each receiving institution.

  • Students with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better and have completed all application requirements will receive preference through additional points in our ranking process toward their acceptance into the Clarkson College on-campus baccalaureate programs.
  • A grade of “C” or better is required in all courses to be applied toward a bachelor’s degree.
  • Student is subject to policies and procedures of both institutions.
  • Students intending to transfer should complete the admissions process for Clarkson College during the final year of their associate program.

What is an Articulation Agreement

An articulation agreement is a formal agreement that facilitates the mobility of students who have previously attended a community college to a four-year institution. The purpose is to create a smooth transition for students who want to leverage their associates degree to complete their baccalaureate degree in less time. Articulation agreements help ensure that, when possible, students do not have to duplicate coursework that they have previously completed. This agreement will continue to support cooperative marketing, guaranteed admissions into online programs pending met requirements of admissions, and priority admission points for on-campus programs and clear advising guides.

The result is a simplified process that allows you to build on your previous work and get further along your path as a health care professional. The goal of this articulation agreement is to better serve the educational growth of students and the economic development of the community through cooperative educational planning and optimal utilization of other post-secondary resources.
